The Bite: Welcome to Food-Love Fridays
It’s official, we’re declaring Fridays as “foodie”, “food-love”, or “favorite food” Fridays. We’re still working on the perfectly alliterated title for the day, but it’s a thing, we swear. Maybe we’ll share a recipe that we’re loving to add to your at-home brunch menu, a thing we’ve all grown used to over the past few months, or a favorite entree at a restaurant that could be in a city near you…and if not, then keep it in mind for the next time you visit that city. Either way, we’re bringing you all of the delicious brunch recipes and featured foods on Fridays from here on out.
Why? Well, because we’re Gals That Brunch. And besides celebrating the women in our amazing and beautiful community, we also love to celebrate food.
The foods that we make for our families and friends.
The foods we can’t stop talking about even days and weeks after we had it at a restaurant.
The foods that bring people together.
The foods that we eat while we laugh, cry, dream, love, catch-up, and support one another.
The foods that fuel our bodies.
The foods that fuel our souls.
Food is something that sustains and nourishes our body, mind, and soul. It’s something that we need to survive, and it’s something we enjoy together a lot of the time when we want to be social. There’s a reason while the whole idea behind Gals That Brunch is to gather a group of women and eat brunch together.
Because brunch is amazing, obviously.
Because both delicious brunch and feeling a sense of connection to other people and where we live is nourishment for our mind, body, and soul.
Because now, more than maybe ever, we need to celebrate those things in life that unite us and bring us together, and one of those things my friend, is food.
You might be thinking, enough already, let’s get to the recipe or the featured dish. Well today is a day of introduction, but it’s also a day for reflection. Because even if we didn’t officially declare Friday’s as the day we’re celebrating food on our blog, we’ve been sharing for our favorite foods and beverages for some time now. And in case you’re new here, we want you to be able to see what’s been shared before. Plus, who couldn’t use some new recipes to make at home right about now, amiright?

Not a bad list. Also, all of this writing about delicious recipes is making me hungry. Which means it’s probably time to wrap it up. In summation, we’ve shared a lot of recipes so far that we absolutely love, and we’ve got plenty of new recipes and foods from our favorite restaurants to share with you!
